As the newest member of HBG Purchasing Solutions, Roy joins the HBG family following a 14-year tenure with Sysco. During his time with Sysco, Roy held positions with Broadline Distribution as well as the Specialty Meat Group. His skills and expertise led to roles in Contract Sales, Sales Management, Marketing, Protein Procurement, and Business Development. Roy successfully developed new business on behalf of Sysco in markets including South Carolina, Florida, the Caribbean, and the Middle East.
Prior to his success with Sysco, Roy honed his culinary skills at renowned restaurants including Bern’s Steakhouse, Riverside Hotel, Perla, and The James Beard House. He also made significant culinary contributions to the South Beach Food & Wine Festival.
Roy is a graduate of both Johnson & Wales University and Polk State College. He is a third generation citrus and cattle farmer. Roy currently resides in Lexington, SC and enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashton, and their family of five children- Bryce, Ava, Kipton, Kade, and Tenley.
