Roy is joining the HBG leadership team after spending 14+ years with Sysco Corporation. During his experience with Sysco, he accrued extensive Director-level leadership tenure within both the Broadline Distribution Companies and the Specialty Meat Group- specializing in Contract Sales, Marketing, Protein Procurement, and Business Development. Roy’s influential leadership and successful sales support allowed him to make significant contributions to market growth in the South Carolina, Florida, Caribbean, and Middle Eastern markets. 

Prior to his success with Sysco, Roy honed his culinary skills by accumulating experiences with multiple prestigious restaurants including landmark Bern’s Steakhouse (Tampa), Riverside Hotel (Las Olas, FL), Perla (San Juan), and James Beard House (New York). He also contributed significant culinary involvement with the South Beach Food & Wine Festival in Miami Beach, Florida on multiple occasions.

Roy is a graduate of both Johnson & Wales University, (Charleston Campus) and Polk State College, (Florida). He is a third generation citrus and cattle farmer in Florida. Roy currently resides in the greater Lexington, SC area outside of Columbia and enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashton, and their blended family of five children- Bryce (11), Ava (8), Kipton (8), Kade (6), and Tenley (5).
